Earlier this year the City of Fairfax Fire Department purchased a Zodiac to be used during water rescue incidents.  This comes after two consecutive years of the City of Fairfax having to rescue citizens out of their vehicles due to localized flooding after torrential downpours.

Members from the City of Fairfax Fire Department attended a Swiftwater Boat Operations course in March taught by the very experienced Rescue Canada.
