On February 1st, 2010 the City of Fairfax lost a very important asset not only to the Fire Department but to the entire City and Region. Chief Owen's accomplished so many things during his tenure with the City. He took the necessary steps for salary equalization, increasing safety levels through staffing, and he was instrumental in improving overall department morale. Chief Owen's will be missed greatly!
