Today Chief Owens announced that he will retire after 12 years with the City effective February 1, 2010. Chief Owens will take over as the Director of Emergency Services for Frederick County, Maryland on February 1.
Chief Owens accomplishments are endless during his tenure with the City. As you can see from the article below, he states the biggest accomplishment was increasing our minimum staffing from three to four on the suppression units.
