The City maintains five front-line supression units and two medic units. Station 3 houses E403, T403, F403, BC443, and M403. Station 33 houses RE433 and M433. Additional units include a reserve pumper, E803, a reserve rescue engine, RE833, a mass casualty trailer, an incident command trailer, a bike team/trailer. The City FD and PD also operate a mobile command center for use in large-scale incidents and for City events such as the Fourth of July, Fairfax Fest, etc. The City also has significant foam suppression capability. In the City's first due is a fuel tank farm serving as a distribution depot for the Northern Virginia area. The City maintains a 3,000 GPM foam nozzle trailer and foam induction trailer.
