City Council Makes Critical Decision in 2007

MARCH 04 - Around 2000 this evening Rescue Engine 433 was dispatched to assist Engine 434 on an unusual public service call. A subject had taken a set of police handcuffs and very tightly applied them to one wrist. This month all swift water rescue personnel in the City of Fairfax Fire department have taken a trip to Oak Mar pool to practice some of the skills. VA LODD - Zachary Whitacre - Gore Volunteer Fire Department

FEBRUARY 15 - Firefighter Zachary Taylor "Zach" Whitacre, 21, of Gore, VA, died in the Line of Duty on Feburary 13, 2012 as result of an apparatus crash. Zach was born on November 13, 1990 in Winchester, VA. FEBRUARY 12 - In the early morning hours of February 12, the alarm was transmitted for a "Cave In" at 5112 Lavery Court in Burke.
