This is the fourth annual Fireman Chase miracle mile. This organization is 100% volunteer and 100% of the proceeds are used for cancer research donations and grants to help kids and families in OUR area. The Foundation has provided over $500,000 dollars to cancer research since 2005. September has been designated National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we are trying to make this the largest ... Lt. Gary Lewis Retires

Lt. Gary Lewis retires after 26 years of dedicated service to the City of Fairfax Fire Department. The department celebrated Gary's career here in the City and to toast his future with the Airport Authority on June 6th at Fire Station 3. On May 18, 2009 Station 3 was alerted to a house fire on Tapestry Drive. All units responded and found a two story single family house with light smoke showing from the second floor. FE403 quickly pulled a line to the front door and took a lap. T403 spoke with a neighbor who advised that the kitchen was on fire. T403 directed FE403 to enter through the garage. On Friday 22 May just as the traffic leaving town for this years Memorial Day Weekend started to get heavy an accident with injuries involving two to three charter tour buses was dispatched on I-66 westbound prior to Nutley Street.
