Rescue Engine 433 With One Trapped

JANUARY 29 - Just after dinner, Rescue Engine 433 (Vita) and Medic 433 (Evans) were alerted to an accident with injury at Chain Bridge Rd. and Eaton Pl. RE433 arrived on scene to find a two car MVA with 1 patient trapped from a T-Bone collision. RE433 quickly stabilized, and extricated the trapped person by removing the drivers door. Rescue Engine, Truck and Chief on a 30 Box

JANUARY 29 - Just before morning line-up, Rescue Engine 433 (Evans), Truck 403 (Trottman) and Battalion 443 (Munday) were alerted for a commerical fire in 430's area. Units arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 5th floor breezeway that connected a 9 story high rise to a parking garage. Rescue Engine 433 located the fire along with Truck 430. E403 Responds to 2 alarm fatal Springfield fire

JANUARY 26 - Immediately following an early morning EMS run E403 (Speakes, Trottman, Rothlein, Hilt) was dispatched as the 3rd engine on the second alarm of a fatal house fire in Springfield. While enroute command had all units evacuate due to a significant floor collapse. Upon arrival E403 was assigned side Alpha exterior attack. JANUARY 12 - Today Chief Owens announced that he will retire after 12 years with the City effective February 1, 2010. Chief Owens will take over as the Director of Emergency Services for Frederick County, Maryland on February 1.

DECEMBER 13 - Shortly before 0600 hours on Saturday 12 December the B Shift crew from Rescue Engine 433 was dispatched to a vehicle accident with entrapment on the I-66 East Bound through ramp at Nutley Street to fill the Rescue Company assignment. First Due House for 403 B

DECEMBER 06 - On December 3rd around 0415 Foam Engine 403 (Alexander), Truck 403(Nicholson) and Battalion 443 (Munday) were dispatched to Peterson St. for a house fire. Upon arrival Foam Engine 403 indicated this was a working job with fire showing from the gable end and roof. DECEMBER 06 - On Friday December 4th, Foam Engine 403 (Alexander) and Battalion 443 (Munday) were dispatched to Braddock Rd and Roberts Rd for two pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle. Dr. Beaver's Class Reaches 28 Years

NOVEMBER 20 - For the 28th year in a row, Dr. Beaver's from George Mason University brings his students to the Fire Training Center. Single Story with Smoke Showing

NOVEMBER 08 - B shift was alerted to a fire in a single story home off Burke Station Rd. Foam Engine 403 (Alexander) arrived first with smoke showing and stretched a line while Truck 403 (Vita) performed a search and ventilated. The fire was contained to a living room and knocked down quickly. Units operated on scene for just over an hour and went back in service.
